Slow Mornings: A Detox Bath Ritual You Can Keep

Twenty minutes, three ingredients, and a door you are allowed to close. The soak our therapists recommend most for tired bodies and busy minds.

Soaking tub sanctuary

The best ritual is the one you will actually repeat. This soak asks for twenty minutes, a warm tub, and three pantry staples you already own.

The recipe

  • Two cups of Epsom salt for tired muscles.
  • Half a cup of bentonite clay, whisked into the water first.
  • Eight drops of lavender or eucalyptus oil, diluted in a spoon of carrier oil.

The part everyone skips

Leave the phone outside the room. The soak works twice as well when the mind stops refreshing its feed.

Stillness is a skill. The tub is just the classroom.

Afterwards, rinse, moisturize within three minutes, and drink a tall glass of water. Your evening will feel borrowed from a slower life.
